Libianca Fonji, the Cameroonian-American singer, has expressed disappointment following her inability to win the US reality TV show, The Voice Global.

In 2021, Libianca was knocked out of the competition at the playoff stage after going head-to-head with US singer, Hailey Green.

In an interview with Channels TV on Wednesday, Libianca said before the playoffs, her manager had a dream that she would emerge victorious.

She said she felt confident that she would defeat Green ahead of the show playoffs.

The ‘People’ hitmaker, however, said she got “mad” when she realised that she lost to Green.

“Look when I tell you, the way you were mad. I was also mad. Because that morning, when I was trying to get up, warming up and everything, my manager’s voice was like, ‘girl, I had a dream. I saw confetti falling’. I am like oh I am winning this. But that night I got eliminated I said Oh wow. No problem, no problem. You see overtime… There is a reason for everything,” she said.

“I went all the way to live playoffs. I came out that night and I was like tonight is the night.”

Libianca became a music sensation after putting out ‘People’, her hit single, in 2022.

She is signed with the music label 5K Records Limited.

She has also released tracks like ‘Everything I Wanted’, ‘Woman’ and ‘Special Lovin’.

Last year, she enlisted Omah Lay, and Ayra Starr, the Nigerian singers, for the remix of ‘People’.
