The Palancras Negras of Angola have thrashed Namibia 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Despite being down to 10 men in the 17th minute, Angola took the lead in the 38th minute of the match through Gelson Dala.

Two minutes later, Namibia’s Lubeni Haukongo was shown a second yellow card for his foul and sent off.

Angola made it 2-0 three minutes to the end of the first half. Fredy flights the free kick into the box, where Dala peeled off his marker and headed straight into the top left corner from the edge of the six-yard box for his brace.

Mabululu threw away a promising scoring opportunity. He received a fine cross inside the 6-yard box, but his shot missed the target close to the right post.

In the 66th minute, Dala passed to Mabululu, who collected the ball and unleashed a terrific shot from the edge of the box. His effort went into the bottom right corner for Angola’s third goal.

Two minutes into added time, Luvumbo unleashed a thunderous effort from the edge of the box and the ball crashed off the woodwork.
