Ododo takes over in Kogi

The winner of the November 2023 governorship election in Kogi, Usman Ododo has on Saturday, been sworn in as the governor of Kogi State.

Ododo  who is of the All Progressives Congress took the oath of office at around 2:24 pm at in Lokoja . He takes over from Yahaya Bello who was elected twice and spent eight years as governor Kogi.

Ododo’s inauguration happened few minutes after Salifu Joel Oyibo took his oath of office as the deputy governor of Kogi State.

Ododo is now the 5th Executive Governor of Kogi state.

Those who attended the event included Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the Ododo’s predecessor, Yahaya Bello and top members of the All Progressives Congress.
