S’Court reserves judgement in Binani’s suit against Adamawa gov, Fintiri

Quick Read

One of the arguments of Binani, through her counsel, Akin Olujimi, was  that the declaration by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari,  that she was the victor, was not unlawful.

The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the appeal filed  by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru, popularly called Binani, against the election of the Adamawa Governor,  Ahmadu Fintiri.

A five-member panel led by John Okoro adjourned the matter for judgment on  Monday after it had listened to the arguments of the parties in the matter.

One of the arguments of Binani, through her counsel, Akin Olujimi, was  that the declaration by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari,  that she was the victor, was not unlawful.

The Election Petitions Tribunal and the Court of Appeal had  earlier dismissed Binani’s petition challenging the victory of Finitiri.
