Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stated why he believes that he merits more than 20 Grammy Awards.
In an exclusive interview, the singer disclosed that he has received three Grammy Award nominations this year.
The interviewer acknowledged Davido‘s significant contributions to Afrobeat music in Africa and inquired about the personal significance of the nominations.
In response, Davido expressed gratitude to the academy, emphasizing that this marks his first-ever nomination and receiving three at once feels surreal.
He highlighted the efforts invested in his album and stressed the virtue of patience throughout the process.
Concluding the discussion, Davido reiterated his belief in meriting multiple Grammys, stating, “If you were to ask me, I’d say I need 20 Grammys.”
