Inter Lagos FC, the embodiment of Nigerian football excellence and Lagos’ community spirit, has ignited a fervent movement for local football with its resounding vision for unity and growth through sustainable sporting initiatives.
The club’s press launch, held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Victoria Island, left attendees from the local and African sports media inspired by its ambitious mission.
Led by the visionary leadership of Lanre Vigo, Co-founder and CEO, Inter Lagos FC showcased its commitment to setting a new standard in football administration. Supported by a team of high-achievers including Olumide Fayankin, Director & Co-founder; Gatumi Aliyu, Director & Co-founder; Oluwatosin Fashoyin, Chief Operating Officer; Gabriel Adigwe, General Manager, and Gabriel Ezema, the team’s head coach, the club unveiled its dynamic approach to growth and on-the-field execution.
Addressing the media on the questions regarding the club’s purpose, Lanre Vigo emphasised, “Our commitment extends far beyond the pitch. We envision Inter Lagos FC not only as a powerhouse in football, but as a beacon of inspiration for our players, moulding them into exemplary individuals who will positively impact society. Inter Lagos FC’s recent performances underscore its commitment to excellence, with an impressive unbeaten streak of six matches, including five consecutive victories. The club’s head coach reaffirmed a pledge to implement a balanced playing style that promises to delight fans and spectators alike.
Affectionately known as “The Pride of Lagos,” the club invites lovers of good football to join in the excitement at its next home game against Osun United FC at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan. As the club continues to make strides on and off the pitch, it remains steadfast in its mission to inspire, unite, and uplift communities through the beautiful game of football.
Established in 2023, Inter Lagos FC also known as The Pride of Lagos embodies the very essence of this magnificent city, where dreams kickoff, lifelong bonds are born, and everything is possible.
