Tobe Oboli, the first son of Award-winning Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, is engaged.

The actress took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to announce the engagement and shared pictures from the occasion.

In an accompanying caption, the excited mother thanked her 22-year-old son for choosing his bride-to-be Marelle — to share their family’s values.

She described Marelle as a “perfect daughter” and expressed joy for the gift of their new family.

“My heart has been bursting with joy and I cannot keep it anymore! ,” she wrote.

Omoni married Nnamdi Oboli, her husband, in 2000 at the age of 22.

Tobe, their eldest son, was born in 2001. Their other children are Gozi and Chizi Oboli.

Omoni got introduced to the veteran producer Emem Isong, and starred in Kunle Afolayan’s The Figurine in 2009.

She broke bold ground starring in Anchor Baby shot in Canada. After doing a short course in Digital Filmmaking in 2010 at New York Film Academy, Omoni and her husband set up the film production company, Dioni Visions.
