Comedienne Anita Asuoha popularly known as Real Warri Pikin has participated in the trending ‘Of course’ challenge, where she listed out the challenges she faces after undergoing a gastric sleeve surgery.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, she detailed the physical transformations her body has undergone, including saggy skin around her stomach, arms, and face.
The mum of three disclosed that she now finds it difficult to excrete after she had the surgery.
Warri Pikin revealed that she also lost her front hair after the surgery, saying she could no longer eat and drink water at the same time and that she suffered a heartburn.
She also said that since she had the surgery, she no longer experiences knee pain, breathlessness or falls sick regularly as she used to when she was weighty.
Last year, Real Warri Pikin openly discussed the health issues she confronted, including atherosclerosis, breathlessness, eating disorders, exhaustion, weakness, intense migraines, and severe joint pains.
Captioning the video with an emotional and warning message, she expressed her newfound happiness and health, but also directly addressed critics who failed to comprehend the depth of her journey. Real Warri Pikin extended a message of empathy, explaining that she wouldn’t wish the intense physical and emotional struggles she endured on anyone, irrespective of their opinions.
The actress had shared her decision to undergo weight loss surgery, which was backed by her husband, who recognized the detrimental impact of her declining health. Her disclosure of suffering from atherosclerosis, a condition marked by arterial thickening and hardening, provided context to her battles with dizziness, breathlessness, and joint pain.
The comedian also shared her past attempts to lose weight through exercise and a healthier diet back in 2017, which unfortunately did not yield the desired results. She bravely disclosed the difficulties she faced in January 2023 due to her deteriorating health, a period that also led her into a battle with depression.
