Tinubu excited as Dangote gets highest award in Senegal

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has congratulated billionaire businessman and Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote on the conferment of the highest national award in Senegal, the National Order of the Lion on him.

President Macky Sall of Senegal will confer the award on the Nigerian industrialist and President of Dangote Group on Friday.

While congratulating the industrialist on the award, Tinubu, in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity issued in Abuja on Thursday applauded the businessman for his enterprise and ingenuity.

The President noted that the industrialist has created jobs and opportunities for many people in Nigeria and across the West African region.

According to him, the award of this honour is an affirmation and recognition of such significant contributions to Senegal’s economy.

The President commended Dangote and wished him the very best in his endeavours.

Dangote Cement has a 1.5 metric tonnes per annum factory in Pout, about 60km from Dakar.
