Renowned musician Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has shared insights into his behind-the-scenes contributions to the careers of some of his fellow artistes.

In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, Kcee humbly acknowledged his role in nurturing talent within the music industry, citing examples of his support for both Iyanya and Skibii.

Opening up about his bond with Iyanya, Kcee revealed that he facilitated Iyanya’s relocation to Lagos by providing his first flight ticket and offering accommodation for a significant span of six years.

Despite his role, Kcee expressed a preference for modesty, emphasizing that he rarely boasts about his contributions.

Moreover, Kcee shed light on his instrumental role in introducing Skibii to the limelight.

Recounting their collaboration on the track ‘Ojapiano,’ Kcee highlighted Skibii’s involvement as a co-writer and affirmed their enduring mentor-mentee relationship.

He spoke fondly of their mutual support and emphasized his love for identifying and nurturing talent.

In response to the interview clip circulating online, Iyanya publicly expressed gratitude towards Kcee, affirming the truth behind Kcee’s support during his formative years in the industry.
