President Bola Tinubu has described Kwara governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as a thorough-bred professional and spartan politician whose historic tenure has brought sweeping changes to the political trajectory of the state.
The President poured the encomium of Governor Abdulrazaq who is also Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum in a 64th birthday message to him.
This is contained in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Sunday in Abuja.
The President applauded Governor AbdulRazaq for the programmes, projects, and initiatives his administration has introduced to address the significant needs of the people of Kwara.
He noted especially the KwaraLEARN initiative, which seeks to empower teachers and re-engineer education for the future prosperity of the teeming youths of the State.
Tinubu also commended the governor for his discipline, attunement and candour, which have bolstered his popularity among the people and broadened the acceptability of progressivism in the state.
The President wished the governor more prosperous years as well as good health and strength in the service of the people.
Meanwhile, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has also affirmed that Governor AbdulRazaq has demonstrated spirited efforts towards transforming the state, improving the wellbeing of the citizens as well as fostering peace and harmony among the people since he was elected.
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who is also the Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, lauded the Governor for his unprecedented interventions across all facets of human endeavours in the state which has further confirmed his genuine love for the people of the state.
The monarch also applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for supporting the traditional institution in the state through the preservation of the cultural heritage of the people of the state through their respective festivals and events as well as improving on the of traditional rulers in the state.
He said: “The entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council are proud to be associated with His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) for his landmark achievements in the past years and most importantly, on the occasion of his 64th birthday celebrations.
“We pray that Almighty Allah will continue to strengthen the Governor to achieve more for our dear state and we pledge our continuous support for his administration in order to sustain the peace and harmony in the state.”
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore urged the people of the state to continue to support the government at all levels with prayers, patriotic dispositions as well and obedience to the security agencies at all times.
