Ghanaian rapper, Black Sherif mocks Nigerian celebrities

Ghanaian singer and rapper, Mohammed Ismail Sherif, popularly known as Black Sherif, has mocked Nigerian celebrities after the Super Eagles failed to clinch the African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The “Kwaku the Traveller” crooner expressed delight at the victory of Ivory Coast over Nigeria at the final match held on Sunday, February 11.

He said he was happy Nigeria lost because some of his Nigerian colleagues called to mock him when the Black Stars of Ghana exited the competition in the group stage.

Black Sherif vowed to continue trolling Nigeria over the AFCON loss.

On his X handle, he wrote: “Blaqbonez called me on Facetime to laugh at me when my country’s Black Stars was sent home, the guy couldn’t stop smiling.

“Odumodu was on Facetime the next 3 days telling the Jeweller to make me the cheapest piece he’s ever made, And na me call am for the Jeweller o! You want me to shut up? I’m going to bed. We go again this afternoon. Super Eagles! you do this one.”

The Ivorians were by far the better side as the Eagles played negative football and were made to pay for their lackluster performance.

The Super Eagles opened the scoring in the 38th minute of the match. William Troost-Ekong headed the ball towards goal from close-range and it went into the roof of the net to leave the goalkeeper helpless.

In the 49t minute, Max Gradel was first to get to the rebound but his shot was blocked.

Cote d’Ivoire equalised in the 62nd minute of the match. Franck Kessie met the corner and displayed his eye for goal as he coolly planted a header from close range into the right side of the goal to make it 1-1.

Cote d’Ivoire deservedly scored their second goal in the 81st minute of the match. Simon Adingra sent a precise lofted cross into the box. Sebastien Haller latched on to it and finished with a quick shot into the top right corner, with the goalkeeper having no chance.
