Liverpool thrash Brentford

Liverpool cemented their place at the top of the English Premier League on Saturday after a massive 4-1 win at Brentford.

Livepool opened the scoring in the 35th minute of the match. Diogo Jota found Darwin Nunez inside the box, he spotted goalkeeper Mark Flekken off his line and chipped the ball into the net.

Few minutes after the restart, the visitors doubled their lead. Alexis Mac Allister was set free in the area by Mohamed Salah and he made no mistake with a lovely finish into the bottom left corner.

Midway into the second half, Salah finished his beautiful individual effort with a superb strike from inside the box to give Liverpool 0-3 lead.

Brentford pulled one back. A rebound fell to Ivan Toney and he fired home from close range.

Few minutes to the end of the match, Luis Diaz provided Cody Gakpo with a nice pass inside the box. It allowed him to finish with a precise effort inside the left post to make it 1-4 for Liverpool.
