Kenyan model and influencer, Elsa Majimbo has taken to social media to express her grievances over alleged mistreatment by supermodel Naomi Campbell

In a detailed video posted on her TikTok page, Majimbo recounted her experiences with Campbell, dating back to when they first met in 2020.

Majimbo, who looked up to Campbell as a role model, expressed her admiration for the supermodel.

After initially connecting on social media, Majimbo reached out to Campbell upon learning of her presence in Nairobi. Campbell agreed to meet Majimbo and even extended an invitation for a vacation.

During the vacation, Campbell suggested that Majimbo create a documentary showcasing her life in Kenya and her journey into Hollywood.

However, complications arose when Majimbo produced a documentary highlighting her encounters with discrimination without consulting Campbell.

Feeling sidelined and angered by not being informed about the documentary, Campbell reacted strongly.

Despite Majimbo’s efforts to clarify, tensions increased, leading to a breakdown in communication between them.

She alleged that a conversation with Ghanaian fashion icon Edward Enninful shed light on the effects of her rift with Campbell on her career.

In revealing her decision to speak out, Majimbo expressed,

“Talking about the Naomi Campbell situation is very hard and scary for me. But I don’t want to be owned by someone else, and I want to acknowledge a lot of big hits and blows in my career came from another black woman and not my own incompetence.”
