The military Joint Task Force North-West Operation Hadarin Daji says its troops on Wednesday, stormed a camp of bandits in Zamfara, neutralised scores of them, destroyed the place and rescued eight kidnapped victims.
The Information Officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, Lt. Col. Suleiman Omale, disclosed this in a statement in Gusau.
He said, “On the 28th February 2024, the troops engaged the terrorists with a heavy gun duel which due to superior fighting power the bad elements fled in disarray and abandoned their captors.
“The gallant troops neutralised scores of the terrorists, destroyed the terrorists’ enclaves and dominated the area with aggressive and confidence-building patrol within the general area.”
Omale said all the rescued victims had been handed over to the appropriate authorities to reunite them with their respective families.
