Popular actor and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has expressed deep sorrow at the death of Nollywood icon, Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani, affectionately known as Sisi Quadri.
In a recent development, the Yoruba film industry was plunged into mourning following the news of Sisi Quadri’s demise, which swiftly circulated across various online platforms.
The announcement of the actor’s unexpected departure was made by his colleague Tunde Olayusuf via Instagram, prompting an outpouring of condolences from others within the industry.
Taking to Instagram himself, Afolayan shared an emotional photo featuring him alongside Sisi Quadri from their time on the set of “Anikulapo,” expressing shock and disbelief at the loss.
Struggling to find adequate words to convey his emotions, Afolayan expressed his disbelief and lamented the suddenness of Sisi Quadri’s death.
He offered prayers for the departed actor’s soul to find peace.
“Sad! Sad! Sad! I’m not sure of what to say or how to deal with this!There is a saying that “T’ibi t’ire la da Ile aye”This is just so shocking♂️May your soul rest in peace Quadri”, Afolayan wrote.
