The paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Micheal Adedotun Gbadebo IIl has honoured some sons and daughters of Egbaland who have done so well in making the land proud in their various fields of life.
The paramount ruler in an award event organised by the committee of 2024 Lisabi Festival during Award/Luncheon said the award is first of its kind in the history of Egbaland and the committee thought it wise to encourage the sons and daughters of the land who had done so well in making Egba proud.
While speaking during the award night organised by the2024 Lisabi Festival committee held on Friday at Adire hall in Ake Palace, Ake Abeokuta,the ruler appreciated all the awardees for making the land proud and for doing well in their field.
He hinted that the essence of the award was to encourage Egba sons and daughters in diaspora and anywhere around the world.
Some of the awardees were Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Chief Olatunde Abudu, Chief Ebenezer Obey, Hon Olawale Edun, Hon Bosun Tijani, Fola Adeola, Princess Mojitade Onatade, Most Rev Jasper Peter Akinola, Prince Adeyanju Lipede, late Agura of Gbagura,Oba Sikiru Olajide Bakre and late Tayo David Aderinokun.
