Omobolarinde Akinyanju, also known as Ashabi, has responded to the tragic news of the passing of Akintoye Benson, who served as an aide to former NURTW boss, MC Oluomo.
The death of Benson was a result of a fatal car accident on Thursday night, March 7th, 2024, on Third Mainland Bridge.
Reacting to the news, Ashabi revealed that upon seeing the report on Bimbo Success’s Instagram page, she was unaware of the identity of the deceased.
She disclosed that Benson had been a strong support to her, allowing her to film her movie at his residence.
Despite her crew consuming provisions from his fridge during the shoot, he never complained and consistently restocked it without hesitation.
Acknowledging the unpredictability of life and the inevitability of death, Ashabi offered prayers for God’s forgiveness and peace for Benson’s soul.
In her emotional tribute, she wrote:
“GOD no one can question you ooo. D first post I saw on ig dis morning was aunty bimbo’s post and I didn’t know it was someone that has helped me who left, I was just like everybody will leave one day, hummmm.
“May GOD forgive all your sins and make your soul rest in perfect peace, sir. This man gave us his house to shoot in my movie side chick for whole 2days, in fact have been to his house countless times to shoot, we will eat and drink empty his fridge, to my surprise he would refill the fridge the next day and still gave us money it is well you have done your part sir, heaven will welcome you with peace & forgiveness by GOD grace”.
