ALARHOSPS elects new executive members

The  new executive council of the Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ALARHOSPS) has been sworn in at the 10th Annual General Meeting of the body.

A keenly contested election  which was held virtually saw Otunba Nurudeen Ojora-Adejiyan emerging as the new  President for the next three years.

Other officers sworn in include Mrs Grace Oladimeji, First Vice President; Mrs Arinola Odulana, Second Vice President; Mr Bashir Braimah, General Secretary; Mrs Margaret Solarin, Assistant General Secretary; Mrs Adebimpe Dada, Treasurer; Mrs Olusola Oduguwa, Financial Secretary; Mr Fola Adeyemi, Social Secretary; Mr Olusina Thorpe, Publicity Secretary; Mrs Maryrose Akinsanya, Legal Officer; Mrs Rhoda Ayinde & Mr Wasiu Akewusola  as
Welfare Officers; Mrs Helen Deile, Auditor and Dr. Femi Olugbile, Mrs Funmilayo Onadipe and Mrs Amidat Anifowoshe as Ex- Officios respectively.

In his acceptance speech, Ojora-Adejiyan promised to improve on the  foundation laid and other achievements  attained by those who midwifed the association, including past executives.

He commended the electoral committee for putting in place a seamless process that ushered in the 4th Executives.

The generality of the members also commended the electoral committee led by Pastor John Dansu and recommended the strategy to other organizations and by extension the larger society.

The immediate past President, Dr Olugbile while acknowledging the modest achievements of his administration appreciated all members for the co-operation and support given to his team; urging that the same be extended to the new executives.

ALARHOSPS is the Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries formed with the aim of sustaining the tradition of excellent service  even in retirement from active public service and be recognised as patriots/ responsible association with unwavering commitment to the socio-economic development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

In the ten years of existence, the association apart from fostering continuous interaction among members, has also articulated views on topical issues of interest to Lagos State and Nigeria including intervention programmes and projects in selected sectors.
