Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has faced significant backlash following her response to singer Portable’s birthday post.
The singer, known for his controversial persona, marked his 30th birthday by sharing photos of himself dressed in Agbada on his Instagram page.
In his caption, he expressed gratitude for life, personal growth, and uniqueness, wishing for a year filled with love, joy, and memorable moments.
“Happy birthday to me! On this special day, I celebrate the gift of life, the journey of growth, and the beauty of being uniquely me. May this year be filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest moments that life has to offer. Zazuu God sent Ogo Tun Tun”.
On seeing the post, Laide Bakare, who had previously made critical remarks about Portable in an interview, left a comment consisting of a laughing emoji.
Her reaction sparked outrage among many, with numerous individuals criticizing her.
One commenter, Tunaz Kid, questioned the reason behind the insults directed at her.
“Na, why dem dey abuse you be this”.
Another commenter, Adetutu Longe, labeled her actions as immature, suggesting she might face retaliation if Portable were to respond in kind.
