Veteran Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, commonly known as KWAM 1, has refuted online reports suggesting crisis in his marriage.
The rumours, initially circulated by the controversial blog, Gistlovers, alleged marital strife between Kwam1 and his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
The gossip suggested an extramarital affair involving Emmanuella’s friend, Folake Ibile, and their family’s female chef.
According to the claims, Emmanuella became aware of the alleged infidelity by accessing their home’s CCTV footage, revealing Folake’s visits during her absence.
This purportedly led to a heated confrontation between Emmanuella and KWAM 1, which only ended by intervention from family members.
However, in a statement released on Wednesday through his publicist, Kunle Rasheed, KWAM 1 denied the validity of these rumours.
He emphasized that the reports were fabricated by individuals intent on sowing discord within his household.
Kwam1 clarified that there is no truth to the accusations of an affair with Folake or the family’s female chef.
He said that he has never been involved romantically with either woman.
Additionally, he debunked the claim of a relationship with someone named Mariam Aneko’s sister, stating that such claims are entirely fictional.
Furthermore, KWAM 1 emphasized that any perceived connection between him and Folake Ibile is coincidental, as she is happily married to another individual.
He reassured the public that he and his wife share a strong and harmonious marriage, evident in their recent celebration of his 67th birthday in March 2024.
The statement reads:
“False rumors maliciously targeting K1’s relationship with his beloved wife, Emmanuella, have been circulated by blogs. This fabricated statement is entirely baseless and orchestrated by those seeking to create chaos.
“First and foremost, K1 is not involved in a relationship or affair with any society woman. Furthermore, there is no truth to the claim of K1 being in a relationship with a female chef; such allegations are unfounded and purely fictional, as he does not even have and has never had a female chef.
“Additionally, the assertion regarding Folake Ibile’s marital status with K1 is utterly false. They simply share a coincidental surname, and Folake Ibile is happily married to another individual.
“Lastly, the notion of K1 dating Mariam Aneko’s sister is entirely fabricated and lacks any substance. Let it be clear: K1 and his wife enjoy a strong and harmonious marriage, untouched by the lies and rumors spread by malicious sources.
“They are deeply devoted to each other, and any insinuation of discord is completely unfounded. K1 turned 67 on the 3rd of March 2024 and he and his stunning wife shared the day together in love and harmony in a low key ceremony.”
