..EFCC says they will soon be charged to court

Twelve 12 exotic cars – four Mercedes-Benz GLK, two Mercedes Benz C300, one Mercedes-Benz 350, four Lexus ES350, one Lexus RX330 were among the items recovered by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC from 57 suspected internet fraudsters arrested in Benin city, the Edo State capital.
Laptops and phones were also recovered from the suspect, Dele Oyewale, spokesperson for the anti-graft agency said in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
According to the statement, operatives of Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC arrested the suspects on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at different locations in Benin City.
He said the arrest followed following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.
The EFCC spokesperson said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
