National President of the  Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Muhammed Ibrahim, the association and the Non-Academic Staff Union have on Monday commenced their scheduled seven day- strike over the failure of the Federal Government to address their complaints about the unfair treatment meted to them.

Ibrahim said members of SSANU had not been paid their 2022 arrears.  He wondered why there was no compliance with President Bola Tinubu’s directive that their arrears be paid.

While appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s  Morning Show, Ibrahim confirmed the strike had started.
