Man, 25, docked for allegedly stealing phone, lace material

The Police have dragged a 25-year old man, Kabiru Agi, to an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing an Infinix Hot 30i phone and a lace material.
The defendant was arraigned before the Magistrate, Mr L.J.K Layeni, on a one-count charge of stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Dr. Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Feb. 29 at Katsina Plaza in the Tradefair Market Area of Ojo.
He alleged that the defendant stole the phone valued at N250,000 and also a lace material valued at N45,000, all belonging to one Florence Arogie.
The offence contravened the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State 2015.
The court granted him bail for N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Layeni adjourned the case until April 12 for mention.
