Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay is billed to perform at the 2024 Forbes Under 30 Africa summit.

The event, themed ‘The Engine of Africa’s Economic Growth: Investment & Entrepreneurship’, will be held from May 5 to 8 in Gaborone, Botswana.

The organisers,  via social media platdorm, on Thursday, announced that Omah Lay will be performing at the event.

Forbes acknowledged the singer as a significant figure in the Afrobeat scene.

Omah Lay was also praised for the beauty of his voice and its ability to deliver a range of emotions.

“The 25-year-old singer and producer’s brand of Afro-fusion effortlessly pulls from his deep personal history with West Africa’s percussion-heavy highlife genre, as well as his enthusiasm for the popular sounds of his generation—from classic rap to the Afro-beats empire flourishing in his home base of Lagos,” the magazine wrote.

“His voice beautifully unravels tales that range from introspective to romantic to gratifyingly explicit, and expertly laid over lush and soulful production.”

The summit also boasts a lineup of Nigerian speakers, including Bola Adegbulu, tech investor, Tia Adeola, designer, Keneddy Ekezie, Kippa CEO, and Peace Itimi, the chief storyteller of Founders Connect.

The lineup also features international figures like US entertainer Nick Cannon and Ben Amadasun, Netflix Africa’s VP of content.

The Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa serves as a launchpad for Africa’s next generation of leaders.

Attendees connect with mentors, investors, and peers, gaining the tools to propel their ventures forward.
