A former personal photographer of President Bola Tinubu, Stephen Adedayo, has described the gesture of the President towards cancelling all arrangements for his 72nd Birthday as very laudable and quintessential.
He said this showed that Tinubu has very beautiful plans and interest for Nigerians’ well-being.
Adedayo, who hails from Ekiti State and former Personal photographer to Late Kudirat Abiola, the heroine of the annulled June 12 1993 Presidential Election, said only a visionary, consistent and futuristic leader could take such a thorough and thought-provoking decision as far as cancelling of such a big event like his 72nd birthday is concerned.
It would be recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through his Special Adviser on information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, announced the cancellation of any celebration for his 72nd birthday.
He said the reason given for the cancellation of the birthday greetings and merry making was because of the present mood of the nation and recent killing of the officers and men of the Army and Police in Delta State and recent spate of security breaches by criminal elements in. different parts of Nigeria.
According to him, the birthday cancellation showed Tinubu’s interest for Nigerians’ well-being, saying there is no doubt about this.
“While leadership is about show of empathy and support for the people, President Tinubu-celebrates has totally displayed he has the interest of Nigerians at heart,” Adedayo said.
Adedayo gave the assurance on Thursday in Lagos during a special prayer and get-together organized for the President and his entire team towards a successful tenure.
He also enjoined all Nigerians to continue supporting the present administration as a lot of good things will unfold soon
