Rita Edochie, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s aunt, has marked the one-year remembrance of the death of his son with his estranged wife, May Edochie, Kambilichukwu.
In a post shared on her Instagram, she reflects on the passage of time since his departure from this world, leaving behind cherished memories and unachieved dreams.
She confesses to moments of short-lived hope, almost believing he might return, only to face the harsh reality that his absence is permanent.
In a letter addressed to May, she expresses empathy for the unbearable burden of grief and assures support.
Expressing the depth of her sorrow, Rita acknowledges the pain of Kambilichukwu’s absence, offering encouragement to May Edochie to find strength in moving forward.
She reassures May that despite the loss, Kambilichukwu is resting in the arms of the Almighty, watching over them as a guardian angel.
Rita encourages May to lean on God’s love as an anchor in the storm of sorrow and to trust in His plan for comfort.

BUT AS THE DAYS TURNED INTO WEEKS, AND THE WEEKS INTO MONTHS, THE HARSH REALITY SETS IN THAT KAMBILI IS GONE FOREVER. HIS SOUL NOW RESTS IN THE EMBRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY, FAR BEYOND OUR REACH.
MY DEAR DAUGHTER QUEEN MAY YUL EDOCHIE, I KNOW THE BURDEN YOU CARRY IS UNBEARABLE, THE PAIN, THE ANGUISH, THE RELENTLESS ACHE OF MISSING HIM, IT IS A BURDEN NO PARENT SHOULD EVER HAVE TO BEAR. BUT THROUGH IT ALL, I URGE YOU TO FIND THE STRENGTH TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD, TO KEEP PUSHING THROUGH THE DARKNESS THAT THREATENS TO ENGULF US. LET THE LOVE OF GOD BE YOUR ANCHOR IN THIS STORMY SEA OF SORROW. TRUST IN HIS PLAN, FOR EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF NIGHTS, HIS LIGHT WILL GUIDE US THROUGH.
