A 24-year-old man identified as Gadafi Bala has been arrested at Ogijo area of Ogun state for defiling a 14-year-old JSS1 student of a Community High School.
According to a police press release signed by Ppro Omolola Odutola, Bala was arrested based on a report received from Ifesowapo Otitoloju CDA in the Ilara area of Ogijo in Ogun State.
The Police spokesperson said on receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO visited the victim and issued an examination form for her medical evaluation.
He said the result proved positive that the accusation against Gadafi was true. Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested.
Odutola said preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter, and the case will be transferred to Ogun State Police Command Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
