Police launch manhunt for kidnappers of 2 members from Ogun church

Police operatives in Ogun have begun a manhunt for the kidnappers of two members of a Celestial Church abducted in Mowe, Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of Ogun state.

The two men identified as Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

Ogun Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said in a statement that the two men were abducted from their church near Oriyarin village, Mowe area of Ogun State.

The Police spokesperson said the gunmen fled through a thick forest behind the church after the abduction.

“On March 28, 2024, unidentified gunmen invaded a Celestial Church around Oriyarin village, Mowe, and abducted one Oladapo Seyifunmi and one Oluboboye Abiola, and escaped through the thick forest behind the church.

“The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu , has been briefed about the incident and has ordered the immediate mobilization of security personnel to pursue the culprits,” the statement read.
