Nigerian comedian Atunyota Alleluia Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba, has mockingly reacted to the arrest of Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a mocking post on his Instagram page, Ali Baba questioned the rationale behind Bobrisky’s arrest, stating the prevalent abuse of naira notes at events.
Sharing a photo of men, dressed in Igbo attires, raining money at an event, he questioned if the EFCC was unable to arrest them because they are men.
Describing it as unfair, he noted how a female celebrity was also sentenced over the same reason.
He criticized the unequal treatment of women in the country and expressed frustration at the disparity in enforcement actions between genders.
In his post, he wrote,
“And Bobrisky was arrested for what again?

Because they are men?
This is not right.
The other time one celebrity lady was sentenced for this same thing.
Now, EFCC has arrested another lady for the same thing that men get away with.
The way we treat women in this country is not good.
Mennnnnn… I just tayaaa”.
