A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Illyasu Musa Kwankwaso, has described Governor Abba Kabbir Yusuf’s plans to probe National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as part of a grand plot to hijack the party in Kano.

Dr. Kwankwaso, a former Commissioner of Rural and Community Development under Ganduje, said he was aware that Governor Yusuf was planning to collapse the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) structure into APC in Kano.

In a statement he made available to journalists in Kano on Monday, he claimed that Governor Yusuf’s decision of probing Ganduje’s administration was purely political.

He further described it as a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of Ganduje so as to pave the way for NNPP to collapse into APC in Kano.

The APC chieftain, however, advised Governor Yusuf to, “leave Ganduje alone,” as the former Governor poses no impediment for him and his supporters to join APC.

Kwankwaso who insisted that Governor Yusuf has, “a hidden agenda,” further disclosed that, “the intention of probing Dr Ganduje”s administration is a political vendetta and would expose the financial atrocities of Governor Yusuf’s godfather, Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.

” We all know that Engr. Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf, have an ambition of defecting to the APC. The APC door is wide open for them to join the winning party.

“But they should shelve all these negative moves and the desperation of tarnishing the image and reputation of Dr. Ganduje. If they wish to decamp to the APC, they are welcome on board. We welcome them with our open hands.”
