The Commissioner of Police (CP), Delta Command, Mr Abaniwonda Olufemi, has deployed massive personnel to ensure adequate security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.

Olufemi disclosed this in a statement issued through the command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, in Warri on Tuesday.

The commissioner assured that the command would keep to its mandate of combating crime as well as enhancing public safety throughout the festive period and beyond.

He, therefore, directed all the Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the command to set up security architecture for proactive and effective policing throughout the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The CP, who rejoiced with the Muslim Faithful, noted that Eid-el-Fitr is the epitome of collective happiness.

“The month of Ramadan brings us blessings. We should learn to shun our differences, promote harmony and show love and affection for each other according to Allah’s teachings.
