British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris has revealed that he would have been an age grade football coach if he wasn’t a thespian.
The ‘Snowfall’ disclosed this in a recent interview with American outlet, Essence.
“If I wasn’t an actor, I would teach little kids football which is soccer to my American friends,” he said.
He revealed that jollof rice is his favourite meal.
“My favourite meal is jollof rice with beef stew and plantain. And my mum makes it the best,” Idris said.
The actor disclosed that his first celebrity crush is Halle Berry while the late Sidney Poitier is his favourite male actor.
Damson Alade-Bo Idris is best known for starring on John Singleton’s crime drama Snowfall, which debuted 5 July 2017 on FX and ended in 2023 after six seasons. He played the co-lead in Netflix’s 2021 sci-fi action film Outside the Wire.
Born in 1991 in Peckham South East London to Nigerian parents, he is the youngest of six children.
