Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has issued a public apology to her fellow actress, Adanma Luke, after a heated exchange over Junior Pope’s tragic death.
Sarah faced criticism for allegedly attributing the actor’s death, along with other crew members, to Adanma’s negligence during a film production titled “The Other Side of Life”.
Sarah took to Instagram to express her anger, labeling Adanma’s movie as lacking in quality and safety measures.
Taking to her comment section, her colleagues, Uju Okoli and Destiny Etiko slammed her over her statement.
Okoli told her to shut up, while Etiko noted how there is time for everything as she stated that such a statement was totally wrong.
In response to a private message from colleague Iheme Nancy, who also expressed disappointment in her over the comment, Sarah decided to publicly apologize for her insensitivity.
She attributed her behavior to the shock of the tragic news and acknowledged her colleagues’ concerns.
Sarah also expressed gratitude towards Iheme Nancy and acknowledged her respect for her.
“I want to publicly apologize for my outburst yesterday regarding the painful tragedy
For the respect I have for some of my senior colleagues who reached out to me, I had to take down the post.
I apologize to my friends and colleagues who found the post insensitive and felt disappointed
This is a lesson to all of us, and I believe things like this will never happen again.
