Two persons were killed while 13 others were injured in a road crash that occurred along the Ijebu-Ode-Ore Expressway, says The Federal Road Safety Commission.
A statement by spokesperson of the Ogun State sector of FRSC, Florence Okpe, said the accident happened at the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode section of the expressway after J3 junction.
According to her the accident involved Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number GUE59ZY, belonging to Iyare Motors, and a truck with registration number BGT94LG.
“15 people were involved in the crash, which comprised 10 male adults and 05 female adults, and a total of 13 people sustained injuries, and 02 persons were recorded dead from the crash (02 male adults).
“02 vehicles were involved with registration numbers GUE59ZY TOYOTA HAICE BUS belonging to Iyare Motors and a Truck BGT94LG,” she said.
She said the the bus driver who was over speeding hit a stationary truck from the rear.
She said while those that were were taken to Hope Hospital in J4, the bodies of the dead were moved to the morgue at the General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode.
