The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has issued an apology for mistakenly confirming that popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Switch, was arrested.
Hundeyin, on his Twitter handle, clarified that the person arrested was n DJ Commissioner Wysei.
The apology came after Hundeyin confirmed her arrest to some media outlets, including Linda Ikeji, BBC, and TVC.
Hundeyin acknowledged the inconvenience caused to these media organizations and extended apologies to DJ Switch as well.
There is a mixup from our end. Arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei not DJ Switch.
Apologies for all inconveniences to a few media outfits like Lindaikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning.
Apologies to DJ Switch too.

Recall that reports emerged early Thursday that the popular DJ was arrested and was being taken to the magistrate court in Eti Osa for arraignment over alleged complaint of fraud and assault.
