The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed that the suspension order placed on Dosunmu Market and its environs, following the recent fire incident, remains.

The government said contrary to speculation, the market has not been reopened, and the suspension order continues to be enforced.

Mrs. Bola Olumegbon Lawal, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts (CBD), clarified that the state government is actively assessing the affected area to ascertain the extent of damage.

She said this assessment included determining the number of businesses and individuals impacted by the fire, as well as identifying buildings affected by the incident.
