Nigerian gospel music producer Dr. Roy David has ignited controversies following excerpts from his interview with Nedu Wazobia on the Honest Bunch that went viral.
Dr. Roy has been behind many of Mercy’s hit gospel songs, including “XX Love” and “Omekanaya.”
Certain remarks he made during the interview with Nedu about his experiences while collaborating with Mercy sparked controversies.
For example, he claimed that when his father fell ill and he sought assistance of a former coll6, he was met with refusal.
It's seems like Mercy Chinwo is gonna be the object of roasting this season.

In a subsequent video posted on his social media, Dr. Roy clarified that the individual he referenced in the viral clip was not Mercy, but rather EeZee Concept, the owner of the record label where he and Mercy had previously worked.
Dr. Roy also shared how Mercy supported him during difficult times, mentioning that she was among those who lent a helping hand when his father was ill.
Music producer Dr. Roy has come out to say he didn’t call out Mercy Chinwo, says she stood by him all through when his dad was sick.
