Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe hit brace each as Paris St-Germain (PSG) crushed lowly Lorient 4-1 to move closer to another Ligue 1 title.

PSG will win their third consecutive title if Monaco fail to beat Lille later today, BBC reports.

The in-form Dembele, in the 20th minute cut inside two defenders from the right and expertly placed his shot in the bottom corner to open the scoring in style.

Mbappe found Dembele for his second of the game, producing sublime skill by nutmegging Nathaniel Adjei and crossing into the box before doubling his own tally in stoppage time.

Mbappe got the end of the full-back’s pass with an exquisitely delicate flick into the far corner, Flashscore reports.

The France captain’s strikes made him the first French player to reach the 25-goal mark in four consecutive seasons in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

And by the hour mark, a piece of utter genius from Mbappe put PSG out of sight.

Up against the byline on the left, the Frenchman toyed with Nathaniel Adjei, turning him inside and out before breezing past the defender and squaring to Dembele, who could not miss from point-blank range.

Lorient’s consolation came as Bamba Dieng headed in Benjamin Mendy’s pinpoint cross midway through the second half.

But Mbappe added another goal to wrap things up for PSG.
