British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will visit Berlin for the first time on Wednesday, 18 months after taking office, local media reports.

His meeting with his German counterpart Olaf Scholz will focus on military aid for Ukraine and the war in Gaza.

Although Britain has not been a member of the European Union for more than four years, it is still one of Germany’s most important allies in NATO, the G7 and the G20.
