The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Sikirullai Ogundele, on Thursday, warned money bags to stop causing crisis with the party, insisting that PDP is not anybody’s personal property.

Ogundele said the party must be seen and run as a political party that is fair and just to every member irrespective of their financial status or position.

The state party chairman stated this while addressing members and leaders of the party during a meeting held at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, the State capital ahead of the party Congress.

He blamed the crisis within the party to those he described as money bags who accused of pocketing the party structure with their funds.

Ogundele said for the party must win the 2027 election, it must be rescued from the grips of money bags who have hijacked the control and structure of the party.

His words: “PDP is not anybody’s personal business, every member of the party has the right to join the party, everyone has the right to aspire for any position.

“This is a political party that must be seen and be run as a political party. We must give opportunity, chance, level playing ground for all aspirants both for political offices or for party offices, level playing ground for everybody.
