The Forum of Political Appointees Under former governor Idris Wada’s Administration in Kogi State has applauded Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman for fully paying pensioners and providing 80% salary payments to local government staff.

In a communique issued this Monday, the Forum extolled the governor for the improved salaries to local government employees, saying, “This is a clear departure from what is obtainable in the state under previous administrations.”

The group applauded Governor Ododo’s strides in infrastructural development through road construction projects, educational support via bursaries and scholarships for students, distribution of palliatives, and concerted efforts to address the state’s security challenges.

It highlighted the recent procurement of hundreds of SUVs for security operatives to bolster the fight against criminality.

As the Ododo administration approaches its first 100 days in office, the forum stated it is ready to “roll out drums” to celebrate the “consolidation and continuity of good governance” in the state.

However, the Forum used the opportunity to remind the governor of his earlier pledge to offset arrears owed to them, noting their reliance on this commitment to sustain their families amid the current economic adversity.
