The former Kogi State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dino Melaye, has argued that Davido is “undoubtedly” the leader of the Nigerian music industry and most commercially successful globally.

The former senator joined the ongoing supremacy battle between Nigerian Afrobeats supersters Wizkid and Davido.

On his X handle on Wednesday, he wrote: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”

Wizkid and Davido were recently engaged in a fierce social media war on X.

Davido later challenged Wizkid to a hit battle but the Starboy boss had yet to reply.

Earlier, Davido boasted that he is the leader of the Afrobeats genre globally.
