Twenty-three suspected internet fraudsters were arrested in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State early Thursday morning by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC
“The suspects were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, May 2, 2024 following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related activities,” Dele Oyewale spokesperson for the EFCC said in a statement
He listed items recovered from them to include one laptop and mobile phones.
“The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he said.
