Arsenal demolished Bournemouth 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday to remain top of the premier league and for a possible trophy after 20 years in the waiting.

The Gunners, knowing what is at stake mounted the pressure on their visitors from the blast of the whistle but Bournemouth resisted them.

Arsenal found the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 45th minute. Bukayo Saka ran up to the ball, stopped and waited for Mark Travers to commit before slotting the penalty into the bottom left corner.

In the 52nd minute, Kai Havertz unleash a good effort towards the bottom right corner. His shot, however, was saved by the goalkeeper.

Two minutes later, Dominic Solanke had a great chance inside the six-yard box, shot low to the middle of the goal, but David Raya pulled off an exquisite save to deny him.

The Gunners doubled their lead in the 70th minute. Declan Rice laid the ball off to Leandro Trossard, who shot from close range into the bottom right corner, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Arsenal added their third goal seven minutes into added time. Rice received the ball inside the box, reacted quickly and without any problem stabbed the ball low in the middle of the goal.
