The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company says it has slashed the tariff payable by its Band A customers to N206.80 per kilowatt-hour.
This is according to a notice issued by the IKEDC.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission had earlier approved the controversial N225/kWh.
The notice by the IKEDC says downward review of the tariff for the Band A customers would take effect from Monday, May 6, 2024.
It, however, said that the tariffs of customers on other bands would remain the same.
The notice said: “Dear Esteemed Customers, please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kWh to N206.80/kWh effective 6th May 2024 with guaranteed availability of 20-24hrs supply daily.
“The tariff for Bands B, C, D, and E remains unchanged,” the IKEDC stated.
