Dortmund knock out PSG

Borussia Dortmund zoomed into champions league final on Tuesday after beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 1-0 in Paris, France in the second leg of their semi-final clash.

The first leg in Germany ended 1-0 in favour of the Germans. Dortmund qualified for the final on 2-0 aggregate.

After a goalless first half, Dortmund took the lead in France in the 50th minute. Mats Hummels jumped highest inside the box to meet a perfectly executed corner kick by Julian Brandt. His header was precise and ended up inside the right post, leaving the goalkeeper flapping in the wind.

Earlier in the 35th minute, Karim Adeyemi wove through the defence with ease and got one-on-one with the keeper, but failed to score with his strike towards the bottom right corner as Gianluigi Donnarumma produced a good save.

In the 47th minute, Warren Zaire-Emery wasted a clear opportunity. He fired a first-time shot from point-blank range, but it rattled the right post.

In the 60th minute, Goncalo Ramos squandered a big chance from inside the box, firing his volley narrowly over the bar.

A minute later, PSG missed another opportunity to equalise. Nuno Mendes unleashed a tremendous shot from distance, but it crashed against the right post.

In the 77th minute, Hummels scored another goal but the goal was disallowed for offside.
