Joselu grabs brace for Madrid

Joselu scored two late goals as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 to reach Champions League final on Wednesday.

After a goalless first half, Bayern opened the scoring in the 68th minute of the match. An amazing individual effort from Alphonso Davies ended with a strike from inside the penalty area. He sent the ball into the right side of the goal and makes it 0-1.

Madrid levelled two minutes to the end of the match. Joselu seized on the loose ball after a huge error from Manuel Neuer and found the back of the net from inside the box to make it 1-1.

Madrid scored the second goal one minute into added time. Joselu hit the back of the net to make it 2-1 but the referee initially ruled out the goal for offside, but a check on VAR showed it was a goal.

Earlier, Serge Gnabry picked up an inch-perfect pass inside the box and fired the ball a whisker wide of the right post.

In the 13th minute, Vinicius Junior ran onto a pass deep into the box and unleashed a low drive to the left side of the net. The keeper made a superb save and pushed the ball against the post.

Rodrygo picked up the rebound inside the penalty area and sent a shot to the middle of the goal, but was denied by a reflex save from Manuel Neuer.

In the 47th minute Alphonso Davies found some space inside the box and got in a strike, but the shot was brilliantly blocked by one of the defending players sliding in.

Vinicius Junior, in the 55th minute played a lovely pass into Rodrygo, but he could not find the target. His strike from inside the box went narrowly wide of the right post.

Six minutes later, Manuel Neuer had an amazing save. Vinicius Junior swirled around the defenders and attempted to beat the keeper with a close-range shot under the crossbar, but failed.

In the 83rd minute, Antonio Rudiger sent a lofted pass into the box, Vinicius Junior showed good awareness to connect with it but blazed his shot high over the crossbar.
