Fubara's lawmakers to screen commissioner-nominee Monday

The faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Governor Sim Fubara will on Monday  swear in Danagogo Iboroma who is nominated by the state helmsman  to be a commissioner.

The  faction led by Victor Oko-Jumbo as Speaker, invited Iboroma to appear before it on Monday by 10:00 am.

A letter signed by the factional Clerk, Dr. G.M. Gillis-West directed the nominee to  Iboroma to appear at the Hallowed Chamber, Rivers State House of Assembly, Auditorium, Admin Block, Rivers state government House Port Harcourt.

He  was asked to  bring along  10 sets of his CVs, photocopies of his credentials and the originals.

The political crisis in Rivers had worsened on Wednesday when lawmakers loyal to Fubara elected  Oko-Jumbo representing Bonny State as the Speaker the State Assembly.

Oko-Jumbo  upon his election declared all actions taken by the 27-man faction loyal to former Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory,  Nyesom Wike, null and void. The pro-Wike faction is led by Martin.

The factional Speaker said the members of the  Amaewhule faction had lost their seats as they defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

He called on the executive arm of  the State Government to stop dealing with the Pro-Wike faction.
