Tinubu receives Senegalese President Bassirou Faye in Aso Rock

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal at Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal at Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja.

The Senegalese President was received at the Aso Rock presidential villa at the forecourt of the State House at about 3 pm and was ushered in by Pipers from the military band.

Senior Nigerian government officials also joined Tinubu to receive the Senegalese President.

The Senegalese President was immediately later want into a closed-door meeting with his Nigerian counterpart

Faye was reportedly on courtesy call on President Tinubu as who is the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African State’s (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.

President Faye, was sworn in on April 2, as the youngest president of Senegal at a ceremony attended by President Tinubu and other world leaders.

The 44-year-old was elected election as the Senegalese President after pledging to implement radical reforms.

He was elected 10 days after he was released from prison, though he has never before held an elected office before
